MY ORIGINAL IDEA
When we first started this project, I came up with an idea for a gangster film.
The story would depict a gangster/hitman meeting someone credited as “The Contact” (gender was irrelevant) who would supply him with a pistol and tell him that the person he has to kill will be waiting for him under the belief that it is a simple meeting.
After the contact leaves, the hitman narrates how his father was a hitman just like him and how his father had one rule - always trust your gut.
The hitman walks to his meeting place which was intended to be either a restaurant, a club or a cafeteria. Inside, he meets his target, who is a member of a rival gang.
The hitman and the target sit down at a table. The conversation is friendly, at first, but soon takes violent turn as both men pull their guns out and point
them at each other. The hitman then says “Like my father always used to say, trust your gut.” It ends there.
For the rest of the story, the hitman manages to escape the target. He soon discovers that his employers have set him up and goes on a quest for revenge.
